EAT | Chaia Tacos

What started as a stand at the farmer’s market quickly grew in popularity and resulted in two brick and mortar locations: in Georgetown and Chinatown. This female owned and led restaurant offers only 5 rotating vegetable tacos at a time. The focus is on simplicity and doing only a handful of things really well.

MOVE | Meridian Hill Park

A beautiful 12 acre park with plenty of stairs for running and open space for yoga, stretching, or interval training. The view isn’t so bad either - the park also features incredible fountains and statues and offers views of downtown.

TAKE CARE | Take Care

Located in Georgetown, this stunning retail shop offers a dreamy environment for exploring natural skincare products. In addition to hosting events, they also recently opened a spa. The perfect place for weekend browsing or for overhauling your makeup bag.

STAY | The LINE Hotel DC

This historic church turned hotel in the Adams Morgan neighborhood also houses 3 restaurants, 2 bars, and a coffee shop. Local chefs, artists, and designers have come together to create a truly unique DC experience in one of the city’s most bustling areas.

WITH DATE | 9:30 Club

With a long and rich history in the District, this music venue has been named the #1 nightclub by Rolling Stone and is the most attended club of its size in the world. Previous acts include Nirvana, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Tony Bennett. Catch a show this spring with your music-loving date.

WITH KIDS | Smithsonian National Zoo

It’s free to the public and easily accessible by public transit so grab a quick breakfast and start your day with kids at the Zoo. Go early! The animals are often most active in the morning. And don’t miss the Kids’ Farm where little visitors can meet and greet different animals during daily demonstrations.

WORK | The Lemon Collective

Founded by three women, The Lemon Collective is a workshop space located in the Petworth neighborhood. With ongoing art shows and a calendar of various workshops, there’s something for everyone. Workshops include anything from Flower Arranging or Embroidery to Cake Decorating.

GROW | Library of Congress

Through September 2020, visit the Library of Congress to explore the exhibit “Shall Not Be Denied: Women Fight for the Vote”. The exhibit chronicles the campaign for women’s suffrage across seven decades and tells stories of courage and hope. You’ll leave informed and inspired.
