I do O44 every day and here is my protocol to support it. πͺπ»π
I do an O44 METHOD workout every day. There are varying opinions on rest days but ultimately I believe every body is different and you should do what feels best for your body. Doing O44 every day feels best for me and I have built a handful of healthy habits which support working out daily without experiencing injury or fatigue. Below are my support tools!
1
I drink a cup of coffee in the morning. I make it at home with coffee from a local shop and use an old school drip coffee maker. Nothing fancy! There isnβt much debate around the fact that caffeine can enhance exercise. Just make sure itβs organic and you arenβt drinking it out of a plastic cup.
2
I eat a meal around 1.5 hours before working out consisting of protein. Typically eggs and veggies or egg whites, edamame and veggies cooked in avocado oil [light layer] and berries.
3
I work out in a heated room. Not as hot as hot yoga but around 80 degrees. I use this space heater. I like a heated space for 2 reasons:
- It helps reduce injury as warm muscles are more pliable [Think of pulling a rubber band- when itβs warm it stretches, when itβs cold it snaps].
- It helps expedite sweat which is critical for detoxification.

Within 15 minutes of completing my workout I eat protein and creatine to help my muscles recover. I actually get this in a a form of a smoothie and I drink the same smoothie every day. I blend it in the morning and put it in an insulated cup so it stays cold and is ready immediately after working out. The recipe is simple: 1 Scoop of Momentous Vanilla Protein Powder, 1 scoop of Momentous Creatine Powder, 2 TBSP homemade almond butter [you can use store bought as long as it doesnβt have any extra added oils], 8 oz unsweetened almond milk, small cup of ice. I use this Nutribullet and Insulated Tumbler.
5
I do a 10 minute session in the evening where I stretch and foam roll, sometimes theragun, and always when I am reading with my kids! Right before bed I take a 15 minute bath with hot water and either Magnesium or Arnica and sometimes both.
I hope some of these work for you but I also encourage you to pause and really think about what enhances your workout as well as what helps your body recover so you can build your own personal protocol.
