THE O44 METHOD© STORY
O44’s inception began when Carrie Dorr needed a new style of workout that didn’t exist.
Seeking heavier weights and resistance, cardio integration and both large and small range of motion movements while still with flow and driven by the beat of the music, she got to work on a formulation that had it all! After many iterations O44 METHOD® has landed.
Carrie grew up in Michigan as a soccer player and dancer with a gift for creating choreography. She began teaching Group Fitness at 18, continued to teach through college, law school and a couple years as practicing attorney before opening her first Pilates and Barre studio in 2001 in metro-Detroit. The barre programming Carrie was creating and teaching in her first studio eventually evolved in to Pure Barre which she began licensing in 2006 and franchising in 2009.
Carrie served as CEO until Pure Barre reached 100 franchised locations. In 2012 Carrie transitioned out of Pure Barre, had 3 kiddos and began advising and consulting early-stage female founded concepts, speaking, launching a non-profit, writing a Wellness blog and serving on Boards while still working out every day of course!
Carrie has a unique ability to invent Methods by creating programming that works for her and ultimately also works for most women. Thus, her Brands are authentic and relatable and her Methods produce results.
What Carrie loves as much as Fitness is empowering, inspiring and leading other women in business and plans to do just that through O44 METHOD franchising.

O [the letter O] is representative of women like Michelle Obama who embody strength, grace, grit, wisdom, poise, leadership, inspiration and resiliency.
44 in numerology is about business, especially business related to building something to benefit many generations. The essence of the numerology number 44 is a focus on efficient and conscientious business building. 44 builds for both the present and the future. It wants rewards for its work in the present and it wants to have a large positive effect on the future.
